Black Rain Ordnance BRO-22 Billet Receiver Features The Black Rain Ordnance BRO-22 billet receiver starts life as a solid block of 6061 T6 aluminum machined down to precise tolerances rather than cast or forged which gives it tighter fitment and a cleaner overall look than a standard forged receiver. The type 3 hard coat anodized finish is a harder more wear resistant coating than standard anodizing protecting the receiver through years of handling cleaning and range use. Machined into the upper is an integral Picatinny rail which means the optic mounting surface is part of the receiver itself rather than a bolted-on accessory that can shift or loosen over time. This construction gives builders a rock solid foundation for a dedicated rimfire training or plinking rifle. The BRO-22 is engineered around industry standard semi-automatic .22 caliber parts and components so builders can source compatible triggers bolts barrels and furniture from the broader aftermarket rather than being locked into a single proprietary parts source. That compatibility makes the receiver a practical base for a first build or a budget-focused rimfire project. Because a .22 caliber platform like this is inexpensive to feed it is a popular choice for high round count practice and training without the cost of centerfire ammunition. This Black Rain Ordnance BRO-22 billet receiver is available for sale at GrabAGun for DIY builders looking to put together a reliable rimfire rifle.
