Birchwood Casey AR500 Gong Features The Birchwood Casey AR500 Gong is constructed from 3/8 inch AR500 steel a hardened alloy rated to absorb a maximum bullet energy of 3000 foot pounds without excessive cratering or premature wear. This steel thickness and hardness combination makes the target suitable for a wide range of centerfire rifle and pistol calibers used at appropriate target distances. Precision laser cutting shapes the target into a recognizable deer silhouette while ensuring a smooth burr-free edge that is safer to handle and mount than targets cut with less precise methods. Reusability is a key advantage of this steel target design letting shooters get extensive use out of a single purchase compared to paper targets that must be replaced after every session. A bright white powder coat finish is applied for high visibility making it easy for shooters to see hits and call shots accurately even at extended distances. Three mounting holes give users multiple options for hanging the gong from a stand chain or hook system adapting to whatever setup is already in place at the range. The animal silhouette shape adds a practical training element for hunters looking to simulate shot placement on game-shaped targets. The Birchwood Casey AR500 Gong Deer Silhouette Target delivers a durable high-visibility steel target built for repeated range sessions.
