AMS Bowfishing Retriever Sport Features The AMS Bowfishing Retriever Sport shares its internal mechanism with the time tested Retriever Pro giving bowfishing enthusiasts the reliability of a flagship reel in a more budget friendly package. Because there are no buttons to press on the shot the archer simply draws and shoots which removes a step that can cost precious time when a fish surfaces unexpectedly. Line stacks inside a bottle rather than wrapping around a traditional spool a design that helps prevent the tangles and snags that can plague spincast style bowfishing reels. A built in 3 to 1 gear ratio retrieves 17 inches of line per crank letting anglers bring in line quickly once a fish is hooked. Retrieval is handled by pulling a lever with the index finger of the bow hand a simple motion that keeps the archer s attention on the water rather than fumbling with controls. The reel mounts to a bow s existing sight holes using the included adjustment spacer making installation straightforward on most compound and recurve bows. It comes pre-spooled with 25 yards of 200 pound test Dacron line along with an AMS EverGlide Safety Slide and all necessary mounting hardware so everything needed to get started is included in the box. Built in the USA by AMS Bowfishing a brand long recognized as a leader in the sport this left hand Retriever Sport is a dependable choice for anglers heading out after carp gar and other rough fish.
