American Tactical MilSport Complete Upper Features The American Tactical Inc MilSport complete upper centers on a 7.5 inch heavy profile barrel chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO finished in black nitride for corrosion resistance and a slick bolt and chamber surface that eases extraction and cleaning. The 1 in 7 inch twist rate is fast enough to stabilize heavier longer for caliber projectiles giving builders flexibility in ammunition selection from lightweight varmint loads to heavier match bullets. A threaded muzzle on 1/2x28 pitch ships with an A2 flash hider installed controlling muzzle flash and signature in a short barrel configuration. Steel construction throughout the barrel keeps the build durable under repeated use. Wrapping the barrel is a 7 inch M-LOK handguard giving shooters a full length of mounting slots for lights foregrips slings and other accessories without needing separate rail sections. The handguard s free float design keeps pressure off the barrel so point of impact stays consistent as accessories are added or removed. Being manufactured in the USA this upper is built to standard AR-15 mil-spec dimensions so it mates directly to any compatible stripped lower without fitting work. For shooters assembling a compact 5.56 pistol or short barreled rifle the MilSport upper delivers a ready made barreled assembly that only needs a lower to complete.
