The RIO Dove Load (RDL288) is a purpose-built 12 gauge shotshell designed for dove hunting and small upland game. Loaded with 1 oz (28g) of #8 lead shot and pushing a muzzle velocity of 1 250 fps this standard-pressure load delivers dense consistent patterns at typical dove hunting distances of 15-40 yards. The small-diameter #8 shot provides excellent pattern coverage against fast-moving agile targets like mourning doves and white-wing doves while the manageable 1 oz payload keeps felt recoil moderate - an important consideration during high-volume dove season hunts.RIO Dove Load 12 Gauge 2-3/4" 1 oz #8 Lead Shot25 rounds per box; 250 rounds per case (10 boxes)Muzzle Velocity: 1 250 fpsShot Size: #8 LeadShot Weight: 1 oz / 28g (437 gr)Shell Length: 2-3/4" (2.75 in)Primer: 209 Shotshell - reliable ignition in all weather conditionsWad: Standard plastic wadHead: Low brass 16mmPressure: Standard - safe for all 12 gauge shotguns rated for 2-3/4" shellsManufactured by RIO Ammunition - a SAAMI-member company with over a century of shotshell production experience and a U.S. manufacturing facility in Marshall Texas - the Dove Load is built to the same quality standards as RIO's target and competition lines.
