The Rio Royal Bala MG Slug is a hard-hitting 12 Gauge shotgun slug load engineered for maximum terminal performance. Built around a Brenneke-style design this 1-1/3 oz armored slug features a conical steel nose cap running through the center of its copper-plated lead body. At impact the lead component shatters to deliver devastating energy transfer while the steel penetrator continues driving forward - combining massive tissue disruption with deep reliable penetration. Loaded to 1 410 fps from a 2-3/4" shell with a stout 3-3/4 dram powder charge this load generates well over 2 500 ft-lbs of muzzle energy.Rio Royal Bala MG Slug - 12 Gauge 2-3/4" 1-1/3 oz5 rounds per boxMuzzle velocity: 1 410 fpsBrenneke-style armored slug with steel penetrator tipCopper-plated lead slug bodyPlastic wad and plastic hull209 primerDesigned for use in smooth-bore barrelsDeveloped with both big game hunters and tactical operators in mind the Rio Royal Bala MG Slug excels in situations demanding both raw stopping power and reliable penetration.
