Sometimes 20 feet isn&';t enough. When the stuck vehicle is deep in a ditch, buried past the tree line, or you need to keep your rig well clear of soft ground during a pull, the extra length earns its keep. The Mountain Lab 40&'; Heavy Duty Recovery Strap gives you the same 10,000 lb rated muscle as the 20&'; with twice the reach, oversized sewn loops, and a 49 kN steel carabiner that clips on fast and holds hard. Why a Carabiner Instead of a Clevis? We get this question. We used a clevis on an earlier version and eventually ditched it, because for powersports recovery it was unnecessarily heavy and slow to rig, especially with cold hands or in awkward terrain. The included carabiner is 49 kN steel, which equates to 11,015 lbs of pull force. That&';s more than enough to extract an ATV, a snowmobile, or a full-size truck. It clips on in seconds, weighs a fraction of a clevis, and doesn&';t require tools or extra hardware to attach. Lighter, faster, and more than strong enough for anything short of industrial equipment. Why We Built It: 10,000 lb capacity for a wide range of powersports and vehicle recovery scenarios 40 ft of reach so you can keep your vehicle on solid ground during a pull 49 kN steel carabiner included, rated to 11,015 lbf, clips on fast even with gloves on Oversized sewn loops that distribute load and hold up under real stress Durable construction built for the kind of abuse that comes with backcountry riding When You&';ll Use It: Deep recoveries where a 20&'; strap won&';t bridge the gap Pulling a stuck sled or ATV out of deep powder or mud Keeping your tow vehicle on stable ground while the other rig is way down in it Towing back to the trailhead when things go sideways Keeping in your truck as standard kit for group rides Details: Length: 12.2 m / 40 ft Width: 50 mm / 2 in Also available in 20 ft
