Product Description

Vortex Triumph HD 3-9x40, Dead-Hold BDC MOA, 1" Tube, Riflescope The Vortex Triumph HD 3-9x40 is a second focal plane hunting riflescope that comes ready to go on your rifle, with a Dead-Hold BDC MOA reticle, capped turrets, 3.9 inches of eye relief and a set of low 1-inch Hunter Rings in the box. It is a straightforward, field-ready scope for deer rifles and all-around hunting rigs. Quick Hits 3-9x magnification with a 40 mm objective lens Dead-Hold BDC MOA reticle for quick holdover and wind corrections Second focal plane design 3.9 inches of eye relief Capped turrets with 1/4 MOA clicks, 15 MOA per rotation 55 MOA of elevation and windage travel Low-height 1-inch Hunter Rings included 11.8 inches long, 16.5 ounces Ready for Deer Camp Vortex built the Triumph HD around a simple idea: give hunters a quality scope that is ready to mount and zero the day it arrives. The 3-9x40 configuration is the classic hunting scope for good reason. At 3x you get a wide 39.1-foot field of view at 100 yards for close shots in timber and on moving game, and at 9x you have enough magnification to place a careful shot across a field or bean plot. The 40 mm objective keeps the scope compact and lets it sit low on the rifle with the included low-height rings. Dead-Hold BDC MOA Reticle The Dead-Hold BDC (bullet drop compensating) reticle uses a series of hold points below the center crosshair so you can hold for drop at longer ranges instead of dialing. Windage marks on the horizontal stadia give you reference points for holding into a crosswind. Because the Triumph HD is a second focal plane scope, the reticle stays the same size as you change magnification, keeping the center crosshair fine and easy to see. The BDC hold points are calibrated at the scope's highest magnification, so for the most accurate holdovers, set the scope to 9x when using them. Simple, Reliable Adjustments Capped turrets protect your zero from getting bumped in a truck, a saddle scabbard or a tree stand. Each click moves the point of impact 1/4 MOA, with 15 MOA per full rotation and 55 MOA of total elevation and windage travel, which is plenty for zeroing on most hunting rifles. Parallax is fixed at 100 yards, a practical setting for typical hunting distances. Vortex includes a custom turret tool to reset the turrets to zero after sighting in. What Is in the Box The Triumph HD 3-9x40 ships with a set of low-height 1-inch Hunter Rings, a custom turret tool, a neoprene scope cover and a lens cloth. With the rings included, all you need is a set of bases for your rifle to get it mounted. The 1-inch main tube is also compatible with a wide range of aftermarket rings if you prefer a different height or style. Who It Is For This scope is an easy pick for whitetail and mule deer rifles, a first scope for a new hunter, or an upgrade for a rifle that is still wearing an older, dimmer optic. It works well on common bolt-action calibers like .243 Win, 6.5 Creedmoor, .270 Win, .308 Win and .30-06, and on lever-action and single-shot hunting rifles with appropriate mounts.
