An aiming picture with a clear purpose The 3 MOA green dot provides a defined center reference without requiring you to sort through a complex reticle. Adjust its brightness to remain visible against the background while preserving a clear view of the target. The simple presentation is especially appealing when you want the optic to be easy to understand at a glance. An aspherical lens supports a clear sight picture with controlled distortion and natural-looking color. The large window gives you room to find the aiming point as the optic comes into view. These optical details help make the sight feel more open and less restrictive in use. Enclosed protection and accessible controls The 6061 aluminum housing encloses the emitter, helping prevent moisture and debris from interrupting the light path. For outdoor use, that is a meaningful advantage when the weather changes or the optic brushes against vegetation. The sight also uses waterproof, fogproof and shockproof construction designed for demanding handling. Top buttons make brightness changes accessible without reaching underneath the optic. Motion activation wakes the sight when movement is detected, and a 10-minute automatic shutoff helps preserve power during inactivity. Those features keep routine operation simple while leaving you in control of the sight picture. Fitment that belongs in the buying decision The Venom Enclosed Micro Green Dot uses the DeltaPoint Pro footprint. A compatible slide cut, plate or mount is required, and screw length must match the actual combination. A shared footprint is the starting point for fitment; verify the mounting surface and hardware before assembly. The listed deck height is 10mm, and the optic is 1.84 inches long with a weight of 1.75 ounces. Those dimensions help you evaluate the completed installation and access to neighboring controls. Select the optic and mounting system together so the result fits the firearm and your viewing position. Battery changes without disturbing the mounting screws A side-loading CR2032 battery can be changed while the sight remains mounted. That removes the need to loosen the optic simply to access the battery compartment. Vortex lists up to 20,000 hours of battery runtime; illumination settings, use and conditions affect actual life. The Venom also has two night-vision-compatible brightness settings for use with suitable equipment. These provide low illumination levels for the aiming point; a separate night-vision device supplies the night-vision image. For daylight range use, select the brightness that gives a distinct dot against the target.
