Taurus TX22, .22 LR, 16-Round, Black, Magazine This is a 16-round .22 LR magazine for full-size TX22, TX22 Gen 2, TX22 T.O.R.O. and TX22 Competition pistols. It is the factory Taurus magazine, part number 358-0017-01, the same magazine that ships with the pistol. Spare magazines are the simplest upgrade for a rimfire pistol. Loading .22 LR rounds one at a time is slow, so having several magazines loaded before a range session means more time shooting and less time thumbing cartridges. Extra magazines also let you rotate them for wear, and keep one dedicated to practice drills such as reloads. Features 16-round capacity Chambered for .22 Long Rifle only Fits full-size TX22, TX22 Gen 2, TX22 T.O.R.O. and TX22 Competition pistols Black finish Factory Taurus part 358-0017-01 Compatibility Full-size TX22 magazines fit the full-size TX22 family, including the Gen 2, T.O.R.O. and Competition models, and can also be used in the TX22 Compact, where they extend below the grip. They do not fit other Taurus pistols or other brands of .22 pistol. Check your model before ordering. Loading Tips .22 LR cartridges have a rim, so load each round so its rim sits in front of the rim of the round below it. Rimlock, where a rim catches behind the one beneath it, is a common cause of feeding problems in any rimfire magazine. Most TX22 magazines have a follower button you can pull down to take spring pressure off while you load. Do not force rounds past the rated capacity. Care and Maintenance Rimfire ammunition is dirty and waxy, and that residue collects inside magazines. Every so often, disassemble the magazine according to the instructions, wipe the body, spring and follower dry, and reassemble. Do not oil the inside of the magazine; oil attracts powder residue and grit. Replace springs that no longer feed the last rounds reliably. Capacity Laws Some states and cities limit magazine capacity. A 16-round magazine may not be legal to buy or possess everywhere. It is your responsibility to know and follow your local laws before ordering.
