Strategic Sciences MFMD 7.62/.308 3.0" OTB Suppressor - MD Only 7.62 NATO / .308 Win A 5/8x24 Direct Thread A 3.0" OTB Reflex Clearance A Inconel Flow-Through A Full-Auto Rated A NFA The MFMD-MD is an NFA-regulated, hearing-safe suppressor built as a standalone muzzle device for 7.62/.308 rifles using a 5/8x24 thread pattern. This is the MD (Muzzle Device) only-hearing safe without the additional SD or SDX modules. Requires 3.0" OTB (over-the-barrel) clearance measured from the barrel shoulder to the first obstruction. If you don't have the clearance, it doesn't fit. Installs via direct thread using included shims and tool. No adapters. Developed under contract with the U.S. military's Irregular Warfare Technology Support Directorate and engineered by Russ Oliver, founder of OSS Suppressors. 3D-printed monolithic Inconel construction. Flow-through internal geometry manages gas forward-no traditional baffles, no backpressure increase. Up to 99% first-round flash reduction. Up to 60% recoil reduction. Sub-140 dB sound performance. Blast overpressure mitigation exceeds reduction requirements. Service life comparable to the barrel itself. Bolt velocity change A 2% from baseline. Full-auto rated. Black finish. NFA rules and regulations apply. 3.0" OTB Reflex Design The 3.0" over-the-barrel reflex design telescopes back over the barrel-superior weight distribution and minimized overall weapon footprint vs. conventional forward-mounting suppressors. Requires 3.0" clearance from barrel shoulder to first obstruction. Measure carefully; if you don't have the clearance, it doesn't fit. Up to 99% Flash Reduction Up to 99% first-round flash reduction preserves visibility and reduces signature in low-light environments. The flow-through geometry redirects and cools combustion gases forward-critical for night vision operations and preserving dark adaptation. Up to 60% Recoil Reduction Up to 60% recoil reduction enhances control, accuracy, and rapid follow-up capability. The forward gas venting and reflex geometry redirect propellant energy-reduces felt recoil and muzzle rise on 7.62/.308 platforms. Sub-140 dB Sound Performance Sub-140 dB hearing-safe performance across compatible systems. The MD-only standalone configuration delivers meaningful sound mitigation without SD or SDX extension required. Blast Overpressure Mitigation Exceeds blast overpressure reduction r
