The Sig Sauer M400-SDI X stands as the ultimate evolution of the direct-impingement AR-15, engineered in direct collaboration with the elite instructors at SIG SAUER Academy to deliver competition-level performance in a duty-ready package. Fully ambidextrous controls-including a proprietary ambidextrous bolt catch/release integrated into the forged lower-make transitions, reloads, and manipulations seamless for both right- and left-handed shooters. The free-float M-LOK handguard features an innovative dual-clamp steel locking system that virtually eliminates deflection, ensuring accessories mounted anywhere on the rail have zero impact on point-of-impact consistency. At the heart of the SDI X beats a crisp SIG 2-Stage Matchlite Duo flat-blade trigger with a clean 4.5-6.5 lb pull, providing match-grade precision straight from the factory. A mid-length gas system paired with a low-profile gas block and SIG's hybrid compensator/flash hider delivers soft recoil impulse and flat shooting characteristics, while the 16-inch chrome-moly barrel with 1:7 twist stabilizes heavy 5.56mm and .223 loads with ease. Finished in durable hard-coat anodizing and equipped with a collapsible Magpul SL stock and reduced-angle grip, this 7-pound carbine is optics-ready and built to excel in dynamic training, 3-gun competition, or home defense roles. Backed by SIG's relentless quality standards and Academy-proven enhancements, the M400-SDI X raises the bar for what an out-of-the-box AR-15 can achieve.
