RIX STORM S6R V2 640x512 Thermal Riflescope, 35mm Lens, Laser Rangefinder The RIX STORM S6R V2 combines thermal viewing and laser distance measurement in a compact riflescope. Its 640x512 thermal sensor and 35mm F1.0 objective capture the scene, while a separate 1920x1080 AMOLED display presents the image to the viewer. Keeping those two resolutions distinct makes the specification useful: the sensor records thermal information, and the display is the screen through which you see it. A 2.5x base magnification provides the starting view, and the integrated laser rangefinder measures distances out to a manufacturer-rated maximum of 2187 yards. Thermal sensitivity is rated below 15 mK, a specification describing the sensor's ability to distinguish small temperature differences. The four-way control layout groups the main functions together, while the replaceable 18650 power source lets you use removable batteries for extended outings. Wi-Fi connects the scope to the RIX+ app for supported mobile functions, including live image streaming and wireless updates. Photo and video capture with a built-in microphone let you record observations. Six viewing palettes provide different ways to display the same thermal scene. Together, these features give this S6R V2 configuration a useful balance of observation, distance information and recording in one optic.
