Magnum Research SwitchBolt .22 LR 16.5in Carbon 10rd Black Archangel Folding RifleThe Magnum Research SwitchBolt .22 LR rifle pairs a 16.5-inch carbon barrel with a black Archangel stock and a 10-round magazine. The Archangel folding backpack stock makes a substantial difference in storage length, creating a light rimfire rifle with a practical folding configuration. This rifle weighs 4.32 pounds and uses a threaded muzzle with a 1/2x28 interface. Overall length is 34.25 inches, folding to 18.25 inches for storage.Choose this .22 LR carbon-barrel rifle at BattleHawk Armory for its Archangel stock and precise model configuration.16.5-Inch Carbon Barrel and Threaded MuzzleThe 16.5-inch carbon barrel is a defining feature of this rifle. Carbon construction supports the lightweight character of the Magnum Lite platform, keeping the rifle easy to carry between a rack, case and shooting bench. The 16.5-inch barrel keeps the SwitchBolt compact while retaining its full rifle configuration. The muzzle uses 1/2x28 threads. That interface provides a clear starting point when selecting a muzzle accessory, but thread pitch alone does not establish complete compatibility. Any accessory must also be suitable for the cartridge and barrel interface. The rifle's chambering and exact barrel specification remain the controlling details.SwitchBolt Semi-Automatic OperationThe SwitchBolt uses a gas-assisted blowback semi-automatic action. Its side charging-handle arrangement is a defining feature of the platform, giving the supporting hand an accessible control location while preserving a right-side ejection layout. This design grew from the Magnum Lite rimfire family and is well suited to recreational target shooting. One 10-round magazine accompanies the rifle. That capacity gives this exact .22 LR configuration a clear specification when planning additional magazines or range equipment. Choose magazines for the precise rifle and caliber, rather than assuming that every Magnum Research rimfire uses the same magazine.Archangel Stock and Carrying DimensionsThe black Archangel backpack stock folds to reduce overall length from 34.25 inches to 18.25 inches. That reduction is useful when choosing a storage case or organizing range equipment. The folding stock is part of the rifle configuration; the backpack name does not mean that a separate carrying backpack is included. At 4.32 pounds, this rifle emphasizes manageable weight. The combination of the carbon barrel and the chosen stock makes the configuration easy to distinguish from heavier rimfire rifles or versions with a different stock. Consider both the operating length and storage dimensions when selecting a case.Receiver and Optic SetupThe receiver is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and hard-coat anodized. This construction provides a rigid mounting foundation while supporting the light overall design. An integral Picatinny rail gives a compatible optic mount a direct interface with the receiver.Choose the optic and mounting arrangement around the intended target distance, stock fit and cartridge. A scope is a separate selection; photographs showing an optic should not be treated as a promise that a scope accompanies the rifle. Keeping the optic choice separate lets the rifle be configured for your preferred rimfire range use.Product SpecificationsManufacturer: Magnum ResearchModel: Magnum LiteManufacturer part number: SSAA22GUPC: 761226090816Caliber: .22 LRBarrel length: 16.5 inchesBarrel construction: CarbonMuzzle threads: 1/2x28Action: Gas-assisted blowback semi-automaticStock: Black Archangel folding backpack stockIncluded magazine: One 10-round magazineReceiver: Hard-coat anodized 6061-T6 aluminumOptic mounting: Integral Picatinny railWeight: 4.32 poundsOverall length: 34.25 inchesFolded length: 18.25 inchesFrequently Asked QuestionsWhat barrel does this version use?A 16.5-inch carbon barrel with 1/2x28 muzzle threads. Is this a manually operated rifle? No. The SwitchBolt is a semi-automatic rimfire rifle.Which magazine is included? One 10-round magazine for the .22 LR configuration is included.Shop Magnum Research SwitchBolt .22 LR 16.5in Carbon 10rd Black Archangel Folding Rifle at BattleHawk Armory.
