Available in .177 and .22 caliber, it features a 10-shot Quick-Shot rotary magazine , Whisper Fusion noise reduction, an adjustable CAT trigger, and up to approximately 60 shots per fill.Ideal for hunting and pest control, the all-new GAMO Arrow SLT PCP is a compact and highly efficient pre-charged pneumatic air rifle capable of firing up to 60 shots before requiring a refill. How the Powerplant WorksPre-charged pneumatic (PCP) airguns store high-pressure air in an onboard reservoir that you fill from a hand pump, compressor or scuba/carbon tank. Because the air is stored before the shot, the gun is recoilless and very consistent, which is why PCPs are popular for accurate pest control and target work.About the CaliberThe .177 caliber (4.5 mm) is the most common airgun caliber. Its light, fast projectiles shoot flat, which makes it a favorite for target shooting, plinking and small pests at modest ranges.Specifications ExplainedGamo rates velocity at 1. Published velocity is measured with the ammunition type the manufacturer lists; heavier pellets will shoot slower but often carry more energy.Muzzle energy is listed as 17.70 ft/lbs - 24 J. Energy, not just velocity, is what matters for pest control and small game, where legal. The barrel is listed as Metal jacketed rifled steel barrel. A rifled barrel spins the pellet for accuracy.Trigger: Two stage independently adjustable CAT (Custom Action Trigger). A predictable trigger is one of the biggest factors in accurate shooting. For aiming, the manufacturer lists Fiber optics sights. Check the rail type before buying rings or a dot sight. The safety is listed as Manual safety. Learn how it works from the owner's manual before loading.Getting Started and CareBefore the first session, read the owner's manual, check that the gun is unloaded, and set up a safe backstop or pellet trap. Shoot from a rest to confirm where the gun hits at your usual distance, then adjust the sights or scope.Try several brands and weights of quality .177 pellets of the type the manufacturer lists. Airguns often prefer one pellet over another, and finding it is the quickest way to tighter groups.Fill only to the pressure the manufacturer lists, use dry filtered air, and check the gauge before each session. Keep the fill probe and fill port clean, and store the rifle with some pressure in the reservoir as the owner's manual directs. What You Will Want With ItEye protection for the shooter and anyone nearbyA pellet or BB trap rated for the gun's power, or a safe backstopPaper targets or reactive targetsA hand pump, compressor or air tank with the right fill fittingA case or sling for transportSafety and Local LawsTreat every airgun as if it were loaded, keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction, and keep your finger off the trigger until you're ready to shoot.
