Fort Scott Munitions Subsonic 8.6 Blackout 285gr TUI 20rd BoxThe Fort Scott Munitions Subsonic 8.6 Blackout is a 285-grain solid copper TUI load packed 20 rounds to the box, and it is available at Battlehawk Armory for suppressed hunting and defensive applications. Published muzzle figures are approximately 1,050 feet per second and 698 foot-pounds from a 12- to 16-inch 1:3-twist test barrel. The multi-patented Tumble Upon Impact design uses a CNC-machined solid copper spun projectile that tumbles end-over-end on soft tissue for deep penetration and a large wound channel while remaining subsonic.Brass cases and Boxer primers make the load reloadable, while the lead-free construction meets regulations in restricted areas. The cartridge is tuned for the fast-twist barrels common on 8.6 Blackout platforms and keeps noise and flash low with or without a suppressor. The solid copper bullet holds its weight and profile through barriers and tissue without jacket separation.Fort Scott machines the TUI series for reliable terminal performance in both hunting and match roles. The 20-round box is sized for a field session or range work.
