Five Stone Tactical Flash Drive Cage Flash Hider - 1/2x28 - Black Nitride The Five Stone Tactical Flash Drive cage-style flash hider with a Black Nitride finish is a Plan B-compatible muzzle device designed to help reduce visible muzzle flash while serving as the mounting interface for a compatible suppressor system. This variant uses 1/2x28 barrel threads, a 0.375 inch bore, and professional-grade 17-4 PH H900 stainless steel construction. The cage-style geometry distinguishes this Flash Drive configuration. The published 0.375 inch bore is suitable for calibers up to 9mm. Bore diameter is only one part of compatibility; barrel threads, shoulder geometry, projectile diameter, suppressor clearance, and the exact Plan B-type adapter must all be verified. Match the flash hider to the complete host and suppressor system. Select the 1/2x28 Black Nitride Flash Drive cage-style model at BattleHawk Armory after confirming bore and mount compatibility. Cage Flash-Hider Design The cage-style front section is engineered to disrupt the high-temperature gas column at the muzzle and help limit visible flash. It also provides the specific external geometry used by compatible Plan B-type suppressor mounts, allowing the muzzle device to remain installed as the host interface when moving between suppressed and unsuppressed use. Plan B-Compatible Suppressor Mounting The Flash Drive works with compatible Plan B-type mounts. Plan B identifies a mounting pattern rather than a guarantee of universal suppressor compatibility. Confirm the exact mount, thread direction, taper engagement, blast-baffle clearance, and any suppressor-specific muzzle-device restrictions before assembly. Caliber-Specific Bore Diameter This 1/2x28 configuration has a published bore diameter of 0.375 inch and is suitable for calibers up to 9mm. Never select a muzzle device based on barrel thread alone. The projectile must pass through the device and suppressor with adequate clearance, and the suppressor must be rated for the cartridge, barrel length, and firing schedule. 17-4 PH H900 Stainless Construction The flash hider is precision-machined from 17-4 PH H900 stainless steel for durable service in a high-heat muzzle location. The Black Nitride finish defines this exact variant and supports a cohesive appearance with other components in the setup. Installation and Alignment Install only on an unloaded firearm with verified 1/2x28 threads and a suitable shoulder. Clean and inspect the threads, use the correct tools and approved installation method, and verify bore alignment before attaching or firing a suppressor. Seek qualified installation when the barrel shoulder, timing, mount engagement, or alignment is uncertain.
