The CAT AKB is a true multi-host .30 caliber suppressor designed to deliver consistent performance across a broad range of rifle platforms. Rather than serving as a dedicated 7.62x39 or AK suppressor, the AKB is engineered as a general-purpose .30 caliber system for DI, piston, bolt-action, and modern gas-operated rifles. Its internal architecture is designed to handle the high gas loads associated with short-barrel rifles while maintaining controlled back pressure across precision and long-range platforms. The AKB uses CAT's SBX technology and is optimized around 2,500-2,800 fps velocities, with a 16-inch SR-25 listed as its optimized platform. The 6.04-inch suppressor features a 1.60-inch diameter and a 1.375x24 HUB interface, providing compatibility with a wide range of mounting solutions. Available in titanium and Inconel configurations, the AKB balances lightweight construction with the durability needed for demanding centerfire rifle applications. The Inconel configuration also supports shorter minimum barrel lengths than the titanium version. Specifications Manufacturer: CAT Model: AKB Caliber: 7.62 NATO Maximum Caliber: .300 Win. Mag.
