The Archon Firearms Type-B OSR 9mm pistol stands out in the premium striker-fired handgun category with its revolutionary AF-SpeedlockA(R) locking system, which eliminates traditional barrel tilt for straight-back barrel movement. This innovative design delivers exceptional accuracy, reduced muzzle flip, and superior recoil management thanks to an ultra-low bore axis of approximately 0.47 inches. Paired with the performance trigger upgrade, the pistol offers a short-reset, crisp trigger pull that enables lightning-fast follow-up shots and enhanced shooter control, making it ideal for competitive shooting, duty use, or tactical applications. Built around a steel monocoque frame with nitride finish and a polymer grip in FDE, this OSR (Optic and Suppressor Ready) variant comes equipped for modern enhancements. It features an RMR-footprint optic cut for seamless red dot installation, both a threaded and non-threaded barrel, and a 1913 Picatinny rail for lights or lasers. The pistol includes interchangeable grip textures, an extended beveled magazine well for efficient reloads, redesigned magazine release, beaver tail for better recoil control, front and rear slide serrations, and a firing pin indicator for added awareness. This Type-B configuration ships with versatile magazine capacities including one 12-round, one 15-round, and one 18-round magazine, along with a 4.3-inch or 5.0-inch nitride-finished barrel featuring a 45-degree crown and 1:10 RH twist. Weighing just 26.5 ounces unloaded, with compact dimensions of 7.7 inches in length, 5.2 inches in height, and 1.4 inches in width, it balances concealability with full-size performance. The combination of precision engineering, low bore axis, and performance upgrades makes the Archon Type-B OSR a top choice for shooters demanding flat-shooting reliability and customization.
