The Black Diamond Impulse 112 Ti Ski comes matched with the Freeraider 14 SL Touring Binding, so shaving weight on the skin track never means giving up power on the way down. The ski's titanal sheet and poplar core stay calm in chop and deep snow alike, floating through storm days without losing edge grip when the terrain firms up. The binding's freeride spacer and Elastic Response System keep release values consistent and power transfer solid, so the ski's full capability is still there once the descent gets aggressive. What Our Gearhead(R) Experts Are Saying:"I skinned up expecting to feel every gram the binding saved, then dropped into a steep line and the power transfer never let up. The weight savings disappeared the moment I actually needed the ski to perform."
