"What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:""I wore these on a fast pack weekend where speed mattered more than anything, and the dual density footbed kept my feet from feeling beat up even after covering serious ground. They felt more like a trail shoe than a boot, which is exactly what I wanted.""Some days call for covering ground quickly, and the Katabatic LT Mid Hiking Boot from Oboz was built with exactly that in mind. We lace up before sunrise, pack light, and let the low weight disappear underfoot as the miles start ticking by. Whether it's a fast pack through varied terrain or a straightforward day hike, this boot keeps pace without ever feeling like extra baggage. The O FIT Insole with Ortholite technology pairs a softer X40 Hybrid foam with firmer support underneath, giving the ride agility without sacrificing structure through the heel and arch. Kinertia Energy Cushioning adds a responsive, compression molded EVA layer that rebounds with every stride, while Trail Tread HD traction holds steady across wet rock and loose dirt alike. It's a boot built for movement, not for standing still."
