What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying: “I’ve run the 1/1 Trail wheels on everything from long XC days to rough, rocky trail systems, and they’ve stayed totally solid. The 4° engagement feels quick when I’m ratcheting through tech or powering up punchy climbs, and the rims strike a great balance between stiffness and compliance. They hold tubeless well, shrug off hard hits, and the J-bend layout makes service easy when I’m wrenching at home.”We count on the 1/1 Trail 29in wheelset when our rides blur the line between cross-country efficiency and full trail aggression. Handbuilt in Asheville, this wheelset balances responsiveness with everyday durability, bringing Industry Nine precision to a platform ready for big mileage, chunky trails, and rowdy weekend laps. Whether we’re weaving through tight climbs or bombing technical descents, the combination of stiff alloy rims, reliable J-bend construction, and quick-engaging hubs delivers a confident, controlled feel. Built around the 1/1 dual-phase freehub, the wheelset offers lightning-fast 4° engagement that pays off on techy switchbacks and when we need immediate power transfer. The 27mm internal width pairs perfectly with modern 2. 2–2. 5in tires, helping them seat securely and maintain the shape that maximizes traction and support. The welded alloy rims provide a stable, predictable ride even at lower pressures, making the setup ideal for rocky terrain where impact protection and tracking precision matter most.
