What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:“I’ve been using this as my go-to shell for shoulder-season hikes and travel days. It’s light enough to disappear in a pack, but the recycled nylon blocks wind better than expected. I especially like the internal sternum snap—it lets me dump heat without the jacket flapping around.”When the weather sits right on the edge between warm and cool, we want a layer that moves easily and never feels overbuilt. The Pacaya Lite Hooded Jacket was designed for those in-between days—morning starts, breezy afternoons, and everything that happens in motion. Built by Cotopaxi, it’s the kind of jacket we throw on for spring hikes, travel days, or casual miles around town when a full shell feels like too much. The lightweight recycled nylon fabric keeps airflow moving while still offering a surprising amount of wind protection. A regular fit layers cleanly over tees or light midlayers, and the internal sternum snap lets us unzip for ventilation without losing coverage. Finished with a durable water-repellent treatment, the Pacaya Lite Hooded Jacket is a simple, dependable layer that earns its place anytime the forecast feels uncertain.
