"What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:""I fished a full day in open sun with the Shadowcaster II Zero on and never had to duck for shade, the UPF 50 protection and the cooling fabric did their job the whole time. Having a rod holder built right into the shirt sounds gimmicky until you're re-rigging a line and realize your hands are finally free.""A long day on the water asks a lot of a shirt, hours of direct sun, wet hands, gear to manage, and little chance to step out of the heat, and the Shadowcaster II Zero Long-Sleeve Shirt from Columbia is built around that exact grind. It's the kind of piece that disappears into the background of the day so the fishing stays the focus. Omni-Shade blocks a broad spectrum of UV rays while Omni-Freeze and Omni-Wick work together to pull sweat away and cool it fast, so the heat never quite catches up. Roll-up sleeves with snap tabs handle the moment hands need to get wet, while the rod holder, utility loop, and zippered security pockets keep tackle and valuables exactly where they belong through the cast, retrieve, and repeat of the day."
