G. Loomis Popping Fishing Rod PR844S GL3 is designed for redfish and permit, the PR844 is a good all around flats rod for a number of different species. Works well with the smaller types of live bait like shrimp, minnows and small crabs, casting spoons and jigs equally well. It is a fast action rod, but leans towards moderate a bit, making it a good rod to wear down the larger fish quickly. GL3 makes it light, yet surprisingly powerful and pretty darned sensitive.SPECIFICATIONSModel Number: PR844S GL3 Rod Length (FT): 7'0'' Rod Handle: CRod Lure Weight: 1/4-5/8Rod Pieces: 1Rod Line Weight: 8-17 lbRod Action (US): Fast
