G. Loomis Popping Fishing Rod PR844C GLX is a super sensitive casting rod designed for snook, redfish and permit on the flats, the 844 is a good choice for a number of different techniques. Because of the ultra sensitive GLX, it is a great rod for fishing soft plastic jerkbaits where the bite is sometimes extremely light. It is also a good casting unweighted shrimp, spoons or light jigs. It is a fast action rod, but leans towards moderate a bit, which is helpful when fighting big fish. It has sufficient power to handle large permit or jacks offshore, but it's better suited for shallow water. This rod is so light you'll wonder how it fishes so big.SPECIFICATIONSModel Number: PR844C GLX Rod Length (FT): 7'0'' Rod Handle: ARod Lure Weight: 1/4-5/8Rod Pieces: 1Rod Line Weight: 8-17 lbRod Action (US): Fast
