The Hornady SBR Suppressed 5.56 NATO 73gr ELD Match Ammunition is a highly specialized, competition-grade cartridge engineered to maximize accuracy and cycling reliability in short-barreled rifles (SBRs) running dedicated sound suppressors. This heavy-for-caliber tactical load utilizes the technically advanced Extremely Low Drag Match (ELD Match) projectile, featuring a patented Heat Shield polymer tip and highly concentric Advanced Manufacturing Process (AMP) jackets that eliminate high-velocity drag variability to deliver razor-sharp long-range groups. Formulated with a proprietary, clean-burning propellant tailored explicitly to 10.5" to 12.5" barrels, it burns completely inside short gas systems to drastically reduce weapon fouling and prevent unburned powder residue from overheating or clogging suppressor baffles. The subsonic-optimized powder choice manages gas volume to maintain lower blowback and a completely uniform, controllable cyclic rate during automatic or semi-automatic operation. Sold as a standard 20-round retail box, this specialized SBR match round provides tactical marksmen and precision service-rifle competitors with an exceptionally quiet, stable training round that maintains flat, radar-verified trajectories without sacrificing downrange energy.
