Outdoor Rock Climbing Materials: 95% polyester fiber, 5% spandex The KAILAS Kneepad is specially designed for outdoor rock climbing. It is a specialised protective gear used to increase friction or facilitate kneebar movements. The kneepad consists of a layer of wear-resistant rubber bonded to an elastic fabric, secured around the thigh (above the knee) with elastic band closures on both sides of the rubber, creating a double elastic compression fixation and wrapping effect. With dual-layer fixation, users can freely adjust tightness while also distributing pressure points on the thigh for even force distribution. During climbing, it increases friction between the leg and rock holds, reduces pain, helps with the kneebar technique, and improves athletic performance. It is one of the essential tools for outdoor rock climbing redpoint attempts. Applicable scenarios: Climbing steep overhang, alpine crack, trad climbing, roof, and steep limestone/stalactite routes. Large 20cm x 16cm wear-resistant rubber provides extensive coverage and comprehensive protection. The 2mm rubber thickness is perfectly balanced for sensitivity and firmness, offering a solid yet flexible feel with optimal stickiness. Stitching lines along the rubber edges are set in recessed grooves to reduce direct abrasion against rock surfaces during kneebar use. Ergonomic S-curve contour cut fits perfectly around joint curves and contours with precision stitching and refined craftsmanship. Dual elastic band compression fixation with elastic bands on both sides combined with SBR elastic fabric provides double-layer fixation that allows adjustable tightness while distributing force evenly. Highly breathable SBR elastic fabric is lightweight, soft, sweat-wicking and breathable without stuffiness. The inner surface features a honeycomb-patterned silicone anti-slip print for excellent grip, skin-friendly comfort, and a pleasant touch. Dual-directional elastic band cross-compression design provides powerful support. Two sets of elastic bands on each side use a cross-compression pattern to enhance support without constricting the leg. Dual Velcro strap fixation ensures secure attachment to the thigh, accommodating different leg circumferences with a firm, non-slip fit. To meet extreme tightening needs, a 6-shaped metal buckle tightening strap is included for enhanced tightening to prevent kneepad movement.
