Our most affordable Dutch-inspired design, the PUBLIC C1 single-speed step-thru, is everything that a great Dutch bike should be: fun, simple, lightweight, stylish, and comfortable. It's a time-tested classic metropolitan design seen throughout Europe for decades. Built using the same proven upright geometry as all our multi-speed C models, the PUBLIC C1 forgoes multiple gears in favor of a simple and efficient single-speed drivetrain that is ideally suited for flat or moderately hilly terrain. We have carefully selected the ideal gearing for rolling hills as well as flatter routes. The PUBLIC C1 is built with a high-quality steel frame and comes complete with full fenders and a chain guard, as well as front and rear rack mounts, which are also standard, ensuring you will always be able to carry your much-needed items if you add an optional rear rack.
