Weatherby Mark V Capra Features The Weatherby Mark V Capra is built on the Mark V six-lug short action machined from titanium making it one of the lightest production bolt guns offered in .25 Creedmoor. The 17 inch barrel s double-spiral fluting forms a double helix that cuts weight while adding rigidity helping the rifle deliver sub-MOA accuracy shot after shot. That same barrel is threaded 1/2x28 and ships with an Accubrake muzzle brake installed which noticeably reduces felt recoil and muzzle flip so a hunter can spot their own impact on a mountain shot. The Graphite Black Cerakote finish on the barrel receiver bolt bolt knob and safety protects every exposed metal surface against the elements a backcountry hunt throws at it. The Peak 44 Bastion stock is an exposed carbon fiber design finished with gray white and rust sponge pattern accents shaving ounces versus a traditional composite stock while keeping the ergonomics a hunter needs for a steady field hold. A 3D HEX recoil pad backs up the Accubrake to further soften recoil on a rifle that weighs just 4.1 pounds bare. The TriggerTech Field trigger gives a crisp user-friendly break that helps a hunter place a precise shot after a long climb and the titanium receiver is drilled and tapped so a scope base mounts directly without added gunsmithing. For the hunter chasing mountain game where every ounce on the pack matters the Mark V Capra pairs a sub-four-pound action with real recoil control for sale at GrabAGun.
