Watchtower Firearms Raider Features The Watchtower Firearms Raider is built around a 16 inch Black nitride finished barrel made from chrome moly vanadium steel a material chosen for its strength and resistance to heat and wear under sustained fire. A 1 in 7 inch twist rate stabilizes a wide range of 5.56 NATO bullet weights giving shooters flexibility in ammunition selection for different applications. The 1/2x28 threaded muzzle accepts standard AR-platform muzzle devices letting shooters add a brake compensator or suppressor as needed. A mid-length gas system is tuned for smoother more consistent cycling compared to shorter gas system designs reducing felt recoil across strings of fire. The Raider s hard coat anodized aluminum receiver stands up to repeated use while keeping the rifle s overall weight manageable at 6.5 pounds. Front and rear flip-up sights provide a reliable backup sighting system that folds out of the way when an optic is mounted while ambidextrous controls ensure the rifle handles equally well for right- and left-handed shooters. Feeding from a 30-round magazine the Raider supports extended range sessions and training drills without frequent reloading. The Watchtower Firearms Raider is available for sale at GrabAGun for shooters seeking a dependable all-purpose AR-15 platform rifle for defense competition or training.
