Tyrant CNC Magazine Extension Features The Tyrant CNC Magazine Extension increases the capacity of a Springfield Armory Echelon 15 or 17-round magazine by 5 rounds of 9mm giving the shooter more rounds on tap without changing how the magazine fits the grip. Machined from T6061 aerospace-grade aluminum the extension is bead blasted and hardcoat anodized for a finish that resists wear while matching the look of other Tyrant CNC components. The NoBak plunger technology keeps the base pad securely attached under hard use including drops from over 10 feet with a fully loaded magazine so the shooter never has to worry about it separating at the wrong moment. A 10 percent power spring roughly 110 percent stronger than the factory spring helps ensure reliable feeding of the final round and consistent slide lock back. Installation and removal require no tools a meaningful advantage over competing extensions that depend on tools and can loosen on impact. The solid top and bottom ledges make magazine changes faster and also help when clearing a stuck magazine under pressure. This extension fits the 15 and 17-round Echelon magazines but does not fit the 10-round magazine and the 20-round Echelon magazine is simply a 17-round magazine fitted with a factory 3-round extension.
