Steyr Arms SSG M1 Features The Steyr Arms SSG M1 is built around an entirely new multi function rifle chassis a system Steyr developed to push the boundaries of what a factory precision rifle can offer straight out of the box. Chambered in .338 Lapua Magnum the rifle pairs serious long range stopping power with a 27.2 inch cold hammer forged barrel that delivers both the velocity and the barrel life demanded by professional and competitive shooters. A threaded muzzle allows the addition of a suppressor or muzzle brake to manage the substantial recoil generated by the .338 Lapua cartridge. The bolt action design and 10 round detachable magazine give the shooter a dependable blend of rapid repeat shots and the accuracy advantages of a manually operated action. An adjustable two stage trigger allows the shooter to tune both the take up and the final break weight giving a crisp predictable release that supports precise long range shot placement. The polymer grip features interchangeable rubber backstraps letting shooters of different hand sizes dial in a more natural repeatable hold on the rifle. An extended 20 MOA Picatinny rail spans the receiver providing the elevation headroom needed to mount a high magnification optic capable of reaching out to extreme distances. Finished in Flat Dark Earth with a matte finish the chassis construction matches the low visibility profile expected of a professional sniper platform. Shipping with a bipod and a single magazine the Steyr Arms SSG M1 gives precision shooters a fully configurable rifle ready to meet demanding mission requirements straight from the factory.
