Steyr Arms SSG M1 Features The Steyr Arms SSG M1 is built around a new multi-function rifle chassis that reflects features found nowhere else but Steyr giving this bolt action platform a true configurable sniper rifle identity capable of meeting demanding mission requirements. Chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor the rifle benefits from this cartridge s flat trajectory and manageable recoil both qualities that matter enormously for precision shooters making repeated hits at extended range. A 25 inch cold hammer forged barrel is central to that accuracy as cold hammer forging produces a dense uniform bore that resists wear and extends barrel life far beyond a button rifled equivalent. Feeding from a 10 round magazine the rifle gives shooters the on-board capacity to engage multiple targets or run drills without pausing to reload mid-string. The polymer grip on the SSG M1 includes interchangeable rubber backstraps letting each shooter adjust the grip s shape and thickness to fit their hand precisely a detail that pays off in consistency shot after shot. Finished in Flat Dark Earth with a matte applied finish the rifle s chassis system is built from stainless steel components designed for durability under hard field use and repeated handling. A bipod ships included with the rifle giving shooters a stable firing platform straight out of the case without needing to source one separately. For precision shooters and competitors seeking a true chassis rifle with Steyr s reputation for innovation the SSG M1 in 6.5 Creedmoor delivers a complete configurable long range system.
