Stern Defense MOD4 Features The Stern Defense MOD4 upper receiver is machined from aircraft grade aluminum giving builders a strong and lightweight foundation for a compact AR style build. The anodized finish adds a layer of protection against corrosion and daily handling wear which matters most on a shorter 8 configuration that tends to see harder use in pistol and short barreled setups. Builders assembling a dedicated short platform gain a receiver that holds tight tolerances for reliable cycling. This makes the MOD4 a practical choice for anyone building a compact purpose driven AR pistol. The 8 length of the MOD4 keeps the overall footprint short which suits a maneuverable pistol build intended for close quarters use or a lightweight range gun. A compact upper like this pairs naturally with a shorter handguard and barrel combination helping the builder keep weight forward bias to a minimum. The aluminum construction keeps the assembled firearm light enough to carry comfortably while still standing up to regular use. For builders seeking a dependable compact upper receiver the Stern Defense MOD4 is a solid foundation for sale at GrabAGun.
