Ruffs Precision Precision Scope Rings Features The Ruffs Precision Precision scope rings are machined from 6061-T6 aluminum for a ring body and cap strong enough to secure a 35mm scope tube under recoil while staying lightweight at 3.9 ounces per set in the low configuration. An alignment lug on the ring ensures the cap and base stay properly aligned through the installation process reducing the chance of a crooked mount that can throw off a scope s zero. The 303 stainless steel cross bolt and half-inch nut provide a strong clamping force that keeps the rings locked to the base under heavy recoil. Recommended torque values of 18 in-lbs for the cap screws and 45 in-lbs for the cross bolt help shooters install the rings correctly without over-tightening. A built-in co-linear bubble level sits directly on the ring body visible from the shooting position using the shooter s non-dominant eye for a quick cant check immediately before the shot. This eliminates the need to balance a separate bubble level on the scope tube or rail streamlining the process of confirming a level rifle at the moment of truth. The low ring height of .885 inches keeps the scope mounted close to the bore for a more natural cheek weld on most rifle stocks. Precision shooters and hunters who demand accurate repeatable scope mounting without added bulk will find these rings built to that standard.
