Kent Southern Reserve Dove Features The Kent Cartridge Southern Reserve Dove load is built around a 7/8 oz payload of #7.5 lead birdshot a pairing sized specifically for the fast small-bodied targets dove hunters chase. At a muzzle velocity of 1300 fps the load delivers enough pattern density and energy to cleanly take birds at typical upland ranges without over-driving the shot charge. The 2.75 chamber length keeps the shell compatible with standard 28 gauge shotguns so hunters do not need a specialty chamber to run this load. Lead shot construction keeps the pattern consistent and predictable a trait upland hunters rely on when birds flush unpredictably. Chambered in 28 gauge the Southern Reserve Dove line gives hunters a lighter-recoiling alternative to 12 or 20 gauge loads without sacrificing the pattern needed for small game birds. The reduced weight of 28 gauge ammunition and the guns that shoot it make for a more comfortable carry through a long day in the dove field. Packaged in a 25-round box the load is sized for a day s worth of shooting without over-buying. Built specifically for dove and similar upland birds the Kent Cartridge Southern Reserve Dove load is available for sale at GrabAGun for hunters seeking a dedicated sub-gauge dove round.
