Kent Ultimate Pheasant Features The Kent Cartridge Ultimate Pheasant load is built around a 1 and 3/8 ounce payload of lead shot in a 4 and 6 blend giving hunters the pattern density of number 6 shot with the extra knockdown power of number 4 pellets. This blend is particularly effective on pheasant which can require a bit more energy to anchor cleanly than smaller upland birds. Loaded in a standard 2.75 inch 12 gauge hull the shell cycles reliably through pump and semi-auto shotguns alike. A muzzle velocity of 1400 feet per second provides a flat consistent trajectory for shots taken at typical upland ranges. Kent Cartridge builds its shotshells with attention to consistent powder charges and crimp quality important factors for patterning consistency in the field. The 4 and 6 shot combination is a purpose-built blend specifically for pheasant hunting rather than a generic birdshot load. Packaged in boxes of 25 rounds the Ultimate Pheasant load gives hunters a dependable supply for a day in the field. For upland hunters seeking a load tuned specifically to pheasant the Kent Cartridge Ultimate Pheasant is available for sale at GrabAGun.
