KAK Industry Retro Taper Flash Hider Features The KAK Industry Retro Taper Flash Hider recreates the three prong style flash hiders found on M16 rifles from the mid 1960s giving modern AR-15 builds an authentic retro appearance. Despite its vintage styling the flash hider is manufactured to current standards and threads onto a 1/2x28 pattern barrel common to 5.56 NATO and .223 Remington chambered rifles. Its bore is sized to accommodate calibers up to 30 caliber giving it some flexibility for use on different barrel configurations within that range. The open prong design helps direct muzzle flash away from the shooter s line of sight during low light firing. Finished in a black phosphate coating the flash hider resists corrosion and wear from repeated firing while maintaining the dark classic look associated with retro AR-15 builds. Installation does require a separate crush washer which is not included with the flash hider to properly time and secure the device onto the barrel. Founded in 2011 to fill a gap in the market for quality American made components at accessible prices KAK Industry continues to produce parts aimed at value conscious AR-15 builders. The KAK Industry Retro Taper Flash Hider is available for sale at GrabAGun for shooters looking to complete a period correct retro build.
