IWI Masada OR Features The IWI Masada is built around a modular serialized high grade steel trigger mechanism housing that can be easily removed simplifying disassembly and maintenance well beyond typical striker-fired designs. Its trigger is tuned to a 6 lb pull with a clean crisp break and a positive reset backed by a built-in trigger safety that prevents the pistol from firing unless the trigger itself is pulled. A low barrel axis reduces perceived recoil and muzzle flip helping shooters stay on target for faster follow-up shots. The frame is molded from high strength impact resistant fiberglass reinforced polymer reflecting IWI s design philosophy of building firearms that withstand harsh military use and environmental abuse. Chambered in 9mm Parabellum with a 4.6-inch threaded barrel protected by a thread protector the Masada OR ships with a button rifled barrel at a 1:10 twist rate for consistent accuracy. The pistol is optics ready and designed for direct mounting of the Trijicon RMR Vortex Venom Leupold DeltaPoint Pro or Sig Romeo1 with four corresponding adapter plates included in the box. Suppressor height combat sights maintain a usable sight picture even with an optic mounted and an integrated Picatinny style accessory rail allows lights or lasers to be added. Three interchangeable wraparound backstraps in small medium and large sizes combined with a large trigger guard opening and fully ambidextrous slide stop and magazine release controls let the Masada OR adapt to a wide range of shooters and gloved conditions. The pistol ships with two steel 17-round magazines giving owners 34 total rounds on hand out of the box.
