Hornady Vexis Safe Upgrade Kit Features The Hornady Vexis Safe Upgrade Kit replaces an existing lock with patent-pending palm vein recognition technology the same system found on new Mobilis safes. Instead of relying on a code or a key that can be shared lost or guessed the internal vein-mapping sensor reads unique vascular patterns in the palm for fast contactless access. This upgrade is designed to fit first-generation Mobilis safes and other brands with compatible mounting patterns letting owners modernize an existing safe rather than replace it outright. A key pad and physical key are included as a backup access method alongside the biometric system. Running on an AAA battery the Vexis kit is simple to install into a compatible door without specialized tools or a locksmith visit. Because it draws on the same internal technology as a brand new Mobilis safe owners get next-level protection and speed at a fraction of the cost of a full safe replacement. The black finish keeps the unit discreet against most safe interiors. For gun owners who already trust their current safe s size and layout the Vexis Safe Upgrade Kit is a straightforward way to add fast secure access without starting over.
