Bsf Barrels Pre-Fit Barrel Features The Bsf Barrels Pre-Fit Barrel starts with a 416R stainless steel match barrel and jackets it in a roll wrapped carbon fiber sleeve applied under tension avoiding the heat trapping and delamination issues common to barrels wrapped directly in carbon fiber. Because the carbon fiber is engineered to move at the same expansion rate as the stainless steel underneath it the barrel keeps its rifling straighter as it heats up during a long string of fire. Chambered in .22 Creedmoor with a 22 length and a 1:8 twist rate this barrel is matched to a cartridge built for flat shooting at extended range. The result is a barrel that holds its accuracy under conditions that would cause a conventional steel barrel to walk its point of impact as it warms. Machined as a Pre-Fit for the Zermatt Arms Origin and Aero Solus actions this barrel threads directly onto a compatible action without a gunsmith fitting a barrel nut simplifying a barrel swap for shooters chasing a new chambering. The 5/8x24 threaded muzzle accepts a brake comp or suppressor mount and the carbon fiber jacket keeps the finished barrel dramatically lighter than an equivalent steel profile at the same stiffness. That weight savings matters directly to a long range shooter carrying a rifle afield or managing recoil off a bipod since less barrel weight up front means a more balanced easier to hold rifle. This Bsf Barrels Pre-Fit .22 Creedmoor barrel is available for sale at GrabAGun for precision rifle shooters building or upgrading a Zermatt Arms platform.
