Ballistic Advantage Hanson Series Barrel Features The Ballistic Advantage Hanson Series Barrel is Cold Hammer Forged from chrome moly vanadium steel a process that produces a dense uniform bore known for long service life and consistent accuracy. Its proprietary Hanson profile balances weight and rigidity for a barrel that handles well on a carbine length AR-15 build. A chrome lined bore and M4 feed ramp extension improve reliability and make cleaning easier over repeated use. Every barrel is HP and MPI tested giving builders additional confidence in the integrity of the steel before it goes into a rifle. This barrel carries a durable manganese phosphate finish for corrosion resistance and comes with a pinned low profile gas block already installed saving the builder a separate purchase and install step. The muzzle is threaded 1/2x28 the standard pitch for 5.56 NATO allowing a compensator flash hider or suppressor to be mounted directly. At roughly 26 ounces including the gas block the barrel keeps an 11.5 inch carbine build light and maneuverable.
