Area 419 Scope Base Features The Area 419 Scope Base was engineered specifically to address a known weakness in standard CZ455 scope bases which can shift position over time under the simple dovetail and set screw design most factory bases use. Machined from a single piece of T7075 aluminum it slides onto the rifle s existing 11mm dovetail and is clamped down with force that stays consistent across the entire length of the rail rather than concentrated at a few screw points. A recoil lug at the rear of the base creates a mechanical stop adding further security against the base ever working loose. The base is finished in Type III black hardcoat anodize and ships with the 2.5mm wrench needed to torque the clamp screws to the recommended 22 inch pound spec. This particular rail comes in a 30 MOA cant intended for shooters pushing their rimfire rifles well past typical rimfire distances and out toward 300 yards or more. Extra rail real estate at the front allows the optic to be moved forward which can help when pairing a higher powered scope with the smaller stocks common on rimfire rifles. Area 419 also built a bubble level directly into the base letting the shooter confirm a level rifle before taking a precision shot without adding a separate accessory.
