Product Description

The Winchester Model 37 Steelbilt is an American-made, break-open, single-shot shotgun produced by the Winchester Repeating Arms Company from 1936 to 1963. Winchester marketed the shotgun as "Steelbilt" because it used formed and forged steel components rather than cheap castings or weak alloy frames. Engineer Edwin Pugsley designed the receiver using heavy-duty sheet steel stampings, which lowered production costs during the Great Depression while maintaining high structural strength.
