The Steyr M95/34 is an interwar conversion of the Austro-Hungarian Mannlicher M1895 straight-pull bolt-action rifle, modified in the 1930s to fire a more powerful cartridge and used extensively through World War II. "M95/34" is frequently used as a commercial or collector label in the West for these Austrian-arsenalized short rifles/carbines, similar interwar updates were designated as the 31. M in Hungary.
