The Speedland RX:PNW road running shoe builds its ride from uncompressed SCF foam, a removable drop-in elastomer blend, and a removable rigid carbon plate. With the plate in, the shoe works as fast day equipment for long road distances, and with the plate out, the same shoe settles in as a daily trainer. What Our Gearhead(R) Experts Are Saying:"I would rather own one pair than two when a plate is all that separates my easy days from my fast days. Pull the plate and the cushioning, the wrap, and the outsole stay as they were, so the swap changes the stiffness and leaves the rest of the shoe alone."
