Accurate 2495 is a single-base, extruded rifle powder with a burn rate equivalent to IMR 4895, making it a classic choice for a wide range of military and sporting cartridges. Its primary advantage is a pressure curve that is ideal for the reliable and safe functioning of gas-operated semi-automatic rifles. This characteristic, combined with its shot-to-shot consistency, has made it a favorite for service rifle competitors and military firearm enthusiasts. Accurate 2495 is considered a top choice for the M1 Garand in .30-06 and the M1A/M14 platform in .308 Winchester. It is also highly effective in the .223 Remington with heavier bullets (62 grains and up) and other historic military cartridges like the 7.62x54R and 8x57mm Mauser.
