Accurate 2520 is a double-base, spherical gunpowder designed to provide the performance of a traditional extruded match powder but with the excellent metering of a ball powder. Its primary advantage is its ability to flow smoothly and consistently through any powder measure, delivering the uniform charge weights necessary for competitive accuracy. This makes it an ideal choice for high-volume reloaders using progressive presses. With a medium burn rate, Accurate 2520 is optimized for popular match cartridges. It is highly regarded for its performance in the .308 Winchester with 168-grain bullets and in the .223 Remington with heavy match bullets (69gr and heavier). It also performs well in classic cartridges like the 8x57mm Mauser. Its availability in 8-pound containers makes it an economical choice for serious competitors.
