The 20 percent reduction in pre travel shortens the distance between touching the trigger and breaking the shot giving the shooter a faster response time and tighter control over shot placement. A firmer than OEM reset provides clear tactile feedback so the shooter feels exactly when the trigger has reset and is ready to fire again. The pull weight is finely tuned to a consistent 4 lb balancing a light crisp press against the margin of safety a defensive or range pistol needs. A custom screw mechanism replaces the factory roll pin which simplifies both maintenance and assembly compared to punching pins in and out. The heat treated stainless steel spring is engineered for consistent reliable cycling shot after shot and the stainless steel safety blade resists the chip and wear that can occur when a steel part rides against the Echelon s steel COG.
